Who is African Health Organization?

African Health Organization is a non-governmental organization whose purpose is to advance the course of medicine and health in Africa through cooperation with existing international organizations and agencies.

What Do We Do?

We provide health services to the African people by complementing and expanding the work of WHO especially in the rural areas of the continent where 70 percent of the population resides …areas where the need is greatest and have not received maximum access to health care. These services are administered through the five divisions of the organization namely: AFRICAN MEDICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS (AMIS), AFRICAN HEALTH EDUCATION SERVICES (AHES) AFRICAN HEALTH MAN POWER DEVELOPMENT (AHMD), AFRICAN HEALTH VOLUNTEER AND MOBILE CLINIC PROGRAM (AHV&AHMCP) and AFRICAN CENTER FOR RESEARCH (ACR).

We have realized that there is strength in unity. Consequently, we work in collaboration with existing international organizations knowing that pooling our resources together will bring about the much anticipated results.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to improve the quality of life of African people by providing solutions to health problems through medical research, public health education and dissemination of information through print and electronic media.
